While Dark Sky can provide straightforward information, this app takes it to another level. This application requires iOS 13.0 and above. The app can also tell you information for when it will start and stop precipitating. It can include a large number of data points, such as a feels-like temperature, visibility, and the current moon phase. The different types of weather influence the humorous references you’ll see and hear.ĭark Sky provides all weather information for this app. You can see the weather for each day, but it’s in a much smaller section at the bottom of the screen. The homepage is an hourly forecast, and you can check the next seven days. The main screen often shows fun animations and different characters, as well as the forecast. There’s a mini geography test game for you to find particular locations. You can also unlock funny locations such as Nakatomi Plaza and the moon. There are four choices for the level of humor, and you can input your political preference to hear a more targeted commentary. When you launch the app, the Carrot Weather robot will talk to you, often with a humorous weather-related quip. These include information about lightning strikes and storms, the ability to create custom alerts, a reminder for an umbrella or coat, and extreme weather warnings.
